A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PROVERB PLATE, KORNILOV, CIRCA 1900. The central reserve with Imperial Double-Headed Eagle, the rim with strapwork and inscribed in Slavonic with the proverb, "Bread and Water are Peasant Fodder." The underside of plate with factory mark of Kornilov under the Imperial Warrant. Diameter 9.5 inches (24 cm).
