AN EXCEPTIONAL IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT SHADED AND CLOISONNE ENAMELED FOOTED CUP AND COVER, MOSCOW CIRCA 1885. The foot, cup and covered lobed and with teardrop shaped reserves of shaded enameled florals, sword wielding winged griffins and double headed Imperial eagles against a turquoise cloisonne enameled ground. The central stem with square knop set with flowering buds and the finial of cover mounted with a gilded silver Imperial double headed eagle with chased detailing. Hallmarked Moscow, circa 1885, silver standard 84 and with indistinguishable Cyrillic makers marks. Height 12.25 inches (31cm).
