A FINE SOUTH GERMAN CARVED IVORY AND GILT-COPPER MOUNTED LIDDED BOX, the sides carved in high relief depicting scenes of travelers in a wooded landscape. The hinged lid with gilt copper mounts and inset with oval ivory plaque carved in high relief and depicting travelers at rest. Set in a base of gilt copper and resting on ball feet. Height 3.5 inches (9 cm), width 4.25 inches (11 cm)
