A RUSSIAN ICON OF SAINTS ZOSIM AND SAVVATIY, 18TH CENTURY. Commonly depicted holding a model of the Solovetsky Monastery on the White Sea of which they are considered the founders. At top center an image of the Sign Mother of God. The inscriptions above their heads identify them both as “Wonder-workers”. 12.75 inches x 11 inches (32.5 x 28 cm).
