A MASSIVE AND EXQUISITE SILVER TROMPE L’OIEL ENGRAVED BASKET, 20TH CENTURY. Resting on a raised domed foot modeled in basketweave. The large tray with pierced rim, large swivel handle and the interior with trompe l’oiel embroidered napkin displaying the Moscow Kremlin. With spurious Cyrillic maker’s mark of Ovchinnikov beneath the Imperial Warrant, Moscow hallmark and 1873 date stamp. Diameter 14.5 inches (36.8 cm), overall height 11.25 inches (28.6 cm).
