A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE ANCIENT CHINESE CARVED WHITE MARBLE FIGURE OF BODHISATTVA, PROBABLY SUI DYNASTY. Depicting the seated deity with legs crossed supported by two attendants raised on a plinth with prayerful figures and seated lions carved in relief. Originally carved as a trio of Bodhisattva, the flanking figures on the right and left are now absent. Some additional losses, height 16.5 inches (41.9 cm).
