A SINO TIBETAN CARVED AND EBONIZED WOOD ELEPHANTS HOWDAH , 19TH CENTURY. With back and side panels supported by a gallery of turned wood balusters and raised on a bent wood frame on four scrolled legs, the cushion covered with a contemporary hand woven Oriental carpet. Remnants of gilt throughout. Height 28 inches (71.1 cm), width 67.75 inches (172.2 cm), depth 31 inches (78.7 cm).
