A FRENCH LOUIS XIV PERIOD HARPSICHORD, 17TH CENTURY. With carved and gilt gesso decoration of exaggerated extending C scrolls supporting a winged cherub below the shaped instrument with finely painted Verni Martin style panels of figures with various musical instruments and mythological winged creatures. Restorations throughout. Height 35 inches (88.9 cm), width 32 inches (81.3 cm) depth 48.5 inches (123.3 cm).
