A VERY FINE FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE MAHOGANY GILT BRONZE AND MARBLE TOP VITRINE, CIRCA 1900. With breche d’alep marble top above inlaid and tooled gilt bronze foliate scrolls with glazed side panels and hinged door raised on tapering cone shaped legs. Contains four plate glass shelves. The verso with later brass plaque inscribed Maria Louise Maxwell 1890 and Lydia Colthier Maxwell 1924. Height 54 inches (137 cm), width 21.5 inches (54.5 cm), depth 12.25 inches (31 cm).
