A VERY FINE RUSSIAN SILVER AND EN PLEIN ENAMEL CIGARETTE CASE, PETER MILYUKOV, MOSCOW 1908-1917. The hinged cover repousse and chased with berry branch set with three cabochons berries and framing a diagonal cartouche exquisitely painted with a young Boyarina and her suitor both dressed in traditional Russian custom. The interior gilded and hallmarked Moscow, 1908-1917, Cyrillic makers mark ПМ for Peter Milyukov, 1909 dated inscription and with cabochon set thumbpiece. Length 4.75 inches (12 cm).
