A RUSSIAN ICON OF CHRIST AS THE LORD ALMIGHTY, 19TH CENTURY. Christ delivers a blessing and holds an open book of Gospels to John 13:34. The entire image overlaid with a silver-gilt repousse and engraved riza with cloisonné enamel halo and champlevé enamel title plaque. Hallmarked Moscow, circa 1897, Cyrillic makers mark S.G. and 84 silver standard. 12.25 inches x 10.75 inches (31 x 27 cm).
