A VERY FINE CARVED IVORY REPOUSSE STEEL AND GOLD INLAID BUST OF KING CHARLES I, 19TH CENTURY. After the model by Hubert Le Sueur (French 1580-1658). The finely carved ivory head with curly locks set in a repoussed steel upper torso of armor with lions head shoulder plates and gold inlaid decoration rising from a squared socle pedestal of verdi gras marble. Height 11 inches (28 cm).
