A VERY FINE AND INTERESTING VIENNESE CARVED ROCK CRYSTAL, ENAMELED SILVER, AND GEMSTONE MOUNTED NEF MODELED AS A GALLEON, CIRCA 1880, IN THE MANNER OF HERMANN BOHM. The rock crystal bowl modeled as a ship's hull, finely carved with griffins and foliate scrolls and mounted with an enameled silver nude figure head at the stern supported by a figural enameled silver mermaid surmounting an oval domed carved rock crystal foot raised on enameled silver dolphin form feet. The cover comprising a carved rock crystal deck mounted with enameled silver sailor deckhands engaged in various activities below three carved rock crystal masts with enameled silver sails and silver wire rigging. Stamped Austrian dogs head mark. Height 15 inches (38 cm).
