A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE VIENNESE ENAMELED SILVER-GILT RENAISSANCE REVIVAL LIDDED URN, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Of ovoid form raised on a bell form foot with four panels of finely enameled mythological scenes reserved on a crimson ground with gilt foliate scrolls below an enameled neck with everted rim flanked by figural silver-gilt winged nude handles with facial mask terminals and surmounted with a domed repoussed and enameled silver cover with a figural silver-gilt centurion finial. Stamped with indistinguishable hallmarks. Height 20.75 inches (53 cm).
