A FINE RUSSIAN SILVER GILT AND ENAMEL PRESENTATION ICON TRIPTYCH PRESENTED TO MAJOR GENERAL VLADIMIR VASILYEVICH ANTIPOV, MOSCOW, 1915. The central arched reserve bordered in cloisonné enamel with side columns and containing an image of the Mother of God of Unexpected Joy. The left wing similarly bordered in enamel and depicting the Archangel Michael and the right wing with Saint Basil (Vasiliy) the Great. The verso with engraved Cyrillic dedicatory inscription, “To our dear Head Master Vladimir Vasilyevich Antipov with the blessings of the gentlemen officers and officials of the Vladimir Military School 1915." The hinged side wings folding over the central panel with an eight-sided cross clasp on verso. Hallmarked St. Petersburg, 1908-1917, and with Cyrillic maker's mark "ГП" probably for silversmith Gregoriy Pankratiev active St. Petersburg 1874-1917, and with 84 silver standard. Height 4.25 inches. Width open 6.6 inches (11 x 17 cm).
