AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN PERIOD 1907 PARADE OFFICER'S HELMET OF HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY MARIA FEODOROVNA'S LIFE-GUARDS CHEVALIERGUARD CUIRASSIER REGIMENT. The polished tompac body, sloped front visor, and lobster tail rear visor trimmed in nickel-silver brass. Front-mounted with enameled star of the order of St. Andrew the First Called, with raised central planchete emblazoned with the motto, For Faith and Loyalty. Surmounted by silver plated, finely detailed double-headed crowned Imperial eagle with outspread wings and St. George coat of arms on breast. Round silvered side cockade painted in Romanov colors, silver-plated brass leather-backed chin scales. Red "curtain" type liner and red velvet visor's lining. Underside stamped with Cyrillic maker's mark "P. Fokin" under the Imperial Warrant, St. Petersburg, and number 57. Height 13.75 inches (35 cm).
