A PAIR OF CARVED WOOD RUSSIAN MONASTERY ICONS, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY. The first in three rows, at top center St. Barbara flanked by two monastic saints, in the middle a figure of the Dormition, the lower with St. John the Much Suffering. Contained in a later metal frame. The icon 5.5 inches x 3.25 inches (14 x 8.5 cm). The second being a carved figure of the Venerable St. Sergiy of Radonezh. 5.25 inches x 3.1 inches (13.5 x 8 cm). Together with a carved bone icon of St. George, 17th or 18th century. Macedonia? 4.75 inches x 2.6 inches (12 x 6.5 cm).
