A VERY FINE RUSSIAN ICON OF ST. VICTOR IN THE STYLE OF DIKAREV, LAST PART OF THE 20TH CENTURY.  A finely painted full length image of Victor holding a martyr's cross and shield painted against a graduated background with his head encircled with angels painted in grisaille, he stands on highly stylized rocky outcrop bordered by fanciful architectural renderings and vegetation. Signed with circular monogram lower right and overlaid with a silver and shaded enameled riza bearing hallmarks for Moscow (circa 1908-1917), and bearing Cyrillic maker's initial IA. 12.4 inches x 10.5 inches (31.5 x 26.5 cm).
