A FINE SEVRES STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED BISQUE PEDESTAL, LATE 19TH CENTURY. The bisque column molded in heavy relief in the manner of Clodion with a Bacchanalian scene with upper and lower friezes decorated with gilt swags and scrolled foliates on a cobalt ground. Incised with spurious interlaced L's mark and signed "Le Courneur." Height 41.25 inches (105 cm).
