A LARGE SPECTACULAR ROYAL BONN HAND PAINTED EXPOSITION PORTRAIT URN, LATE 19TH CENTURY. Depicting a bust portrait of a beautiful woman surrounded by fruit, artist signed Henseler. Raised on a socket mount pedestal with embossed and gilt acanthus leaves, strapwork panels and garland swags, surmounted with an domed cover with averted apron embossed and gilt with fig leaf and bell flower medallions. Royal Bohn backstamp on base with hand inscribed decorator's marks. Height 49.5 inches (126 cm).

Little Norway Museum, Wisconsin, U.S.A., where it is believed to have been obtained at the Columbian World's Fair Exposition in Chicago, Illinois, 1893.
