A RUSSIAN ICON FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH, CIRCA 1890. Divided into sections, each representing a particular day in the month of March and the Saints or events which are celebrated on that day within the church calendar. The top margin inscribed in Old Slavonic “The Month of March”. 17.4 inches x 14.6 inches (44.2 x 37.2 cm).
