A VERY FINE CHINESE CARVED WHITE JADE FIGURAL FOO LION GROUP, QING DYNASTY/EARLY REPUBLIC PERIOD. Depicting a recumbent foo lion and playful cub each displaying finely detailed carved, reticulated and polished features, curly manes and flowing coats flanked by a well carved Buddha’s hand (citron) surmounted by a figural bat with russet skin, displayed on a well carved fitted hardwood base with openwork cloud form designs. Length 6 inches (15.2 cm).
