A VERY FINE AMERICAN VICTORIAN OAK DINING ROOM SET The oval top table with carved rope twist edge supported by a curved carved dental molded skirt raised on a central fluted split pedestal flanked by fluted and medallion carved baluster legs, joined by Y form stretchers. The six matching chairs (two armchairs, four side chairs) each carved with scrolling acanthus in deep relief with pierced openwork and back crests terminating with scrolled cartouches flanked by figural lions heads. The arms of the chairs each terminating in animated carved lions head busts. Lot is accompanied by four matching leaves. Height of table 30 inches (76 cm), depth 54 inches (127 cm), length 59 inches (150 cm), extended length 161 inches (408.9 cm).
